The hotel staff proved to be very helpful when my wife got...
The hotel staff proved to be very helpful when my wife got sick and had a high temperature. Within 15 minutes we received professional medical help and medicines that quickly helped. We have not met such great empathy of staff so far. Thank you very much.

What was the highlight of Mandalay Lodge Hotel
All in all an acceptable hotel, but I wouldn't recommend this for Western tourists.
The pool looked nice, but I think the pictures of the rest are a bit deceiving.
Full of very loud and rude Chinese tourists. The breakfast buffet is tailored to a Chinese audience, as is the hotel itself. Not great for Western standards. Hard to make yourself understood in English. No shower curtain, old furniture, bedsheets had a black stain. Was recently renamed, but the facilities seem to have stayed the same.

The swimming pool and the guys at breakfast were really helpful and kind.
Despite the first impression with the outside and the lobby, the hotel is quite old and not very comfortable. Moreover you can listen the person from the other room breathing...it seems that it is inside your room. Difficult to find by the taxi driver because the hotel has had different names.
